About Us
Hi, I'm JoJo and I started The Brambly Dog after living on the other side of the world for three years. Whilst I was there, caring for animals became a real source of comfort. In a place that didn't always feel familiar, the pets I looked after gave me purpose and companionship. That experience has sparked a lifelong passion.
The Brambly Dog is about more than just providing care. It's about understanding each animal as an individual, noticing the little quirks and joys that make them who they are. For me, looking after animals isn't just a job, it's a privilege, and everyday I'm grateful for the trust that owners place in me and the connections I build along the way.
We're based in Kettering, Northamptonshire and also offering services to surrounding areas.

Everything you need to know before booking
Absolutely! I offer a meet and greet as standard. It's important that both you and your pet feel completely comfortable, and it gives me a chance to understand their routine, preferences, and any specific needs.
Dog walks are more focused on exercise, enrichment, and getting your dog out properly — ideal for active breeds or longer days. Drop-in visits are shorter and better suited to feeding, company, and letting them out into the garden.
Yes! All walks include pick up and drop off with the full hour dedicated to your dog's walk. Pick up and drop off are arranged either side, so they get the most out of their time out.
No. Most of my clients are comfortable sharing a spare set of keys with me. I can pick your dog up and drop them off when you can't be there.
I keep walks calm and considered. If your dog is suited to 1:1 walks, that's exactly what they'll get. If they're comfortable with others, I'll only ever pair them carefully with compatible dogs.
Group walks are usually kept between 4–5 dogs. Your dog will never be just "one of many" — they're always carefully matched and I never take on more than I can give proper attention to.
I use a variety of safe, dog-friendly locations — mostly large parks, fields, and woodlands. Dogs get to stretch their legs, sniff everything in sight, and enjoy a proper adventure outside their usual walks.
I carry a portable washer to rinse off muddy paws, so they're always returned home clean and comfortable — no muddy floors when you get back!
Always! You'll receive photos and a quick update after every walk or visit so you know exactly how your pet is and what they've been up to.
Yes — I'm fully insured and DBS checked, so you can feel confident your pet and home are in safe hands at all times.
Your pet's safety is always my top priority. If anything unexpected happens, I'll contact you straight away and, if needed, take them to your registered vet. I'm Dog First Aid trained so I'm well prepared if those moments arise.
Booking is easy! You can get in touch via email, text, or social media. Once we've had a chat about your pet's needs, we can arrange a free meet and greet and schedule the services that suit you best. We also accept last-minute bookings too.
